Fiebings Leather Dye

Fiebings Leather Dye is the most recognized deep-penetrating, alcohol-based leather dye in the world.

It seeps deep into any porous surface, making it an excellent additive for all your home-brewed inks as well as brand name inks that really don’t live up to the hype.

Each bottle is 120ml/4oz so you have plenty to use for a nice-sized brew. Just mix it into any alcohol-based (dye-based) ink and add some serious staining power.

Writers have been adding leather dye to their home brews for decades because it simply works.

You’ll have to figure the ratio of ink/dye for yourself but for a nice hard-staining ink I’d recommend 2oz./60ml Fiebings for 6oz./180ml home brew. Again, you’ll have to figure your own ratio but 60ml/180ml is a good start.

Fiebings is not opaque so adding too much to a solid, opaque ink will lessen the opacity, keep that in mind. This is an additive only.
