Pilot Premium 400 Chisel Tip Marker

The Pilot Premium 400 Chisel Tip Marker is a new marker from Pilot that, from what I’ve found out, is the replacement for the older aluminum barrel chisel & bullet tip markers with the black & white stripes. Those have been discontinued but are still available on this site while stock lasts.

These new Premium 400 chisel tips are oil-based, just like the OG’s but are toluene & xylene-free.

The new CSP (Controlled Surface Properties) ink is a class-leading formula which doesn’t fade, has a high fixing strength and premium abrasion resistance so you can be confident of the quality, longevity and suitability for purpose. It also has that sweet smell like some of the other Japanese imports.

The chisel tip gives a line width of 1mm-4mm and, should you forget to put the cap back on after use, the tip won’t dry out for a good 24 hours.

They have a sturdy plastic barrel and work great on eggshells, paper stickers, vinyl and the usual outdoor surfaces like plastic, metal, glass, painted surfaces, wood & more.
