Wescosa Mini-Wide Marker

The Wescosa Mini-Wide Marker is a classic, super-rare, OG-Triple-OG marker that was around from sometime in the early to mid-70s up until the Wescosa brand went out of business in the early to mid-90s and stopped production.

What made these vintage markers so popular among writers was the slim body size and the wide, flat nib that laid down thick, solid tags and handstyles on pretty much any flat surface.

These, from what I know and can remember, were the only real “wide nib” markers at the time, and that’s one of the main reasons the writers loved them. You see Lee using one in the classic flick Wild Style.

The Mini-Wide nib measures 11.7mm wide, or 2 fingers wide, which is which is where older writers got the “2 finger” name from.

These are capillary markers with a felt or cotton “filling” inside the marker that holds the ink, similar to the OG Sanford Magnum, Sakura SG4 (metal barrel) and the Jumbo Pilot.

The thing with the Wescosa minis and ultras is filling them up…you have to pull the nib, pour your ink in then push the nib back down into the casing. Back in the 70s-80s they weren’t as advanced as we are today with removable heads & valves and screw-on caps we can easily remove to fill & refill the marker(s).

The standard grey color was the only color I’ve ever seen the Mini-Wide in, unlike the Ultra-Wide that later was available in orange, pink, blue, green, etc.

The Wescosa Mini-Wide is a classic vintage marker that would look great on the shelf with your vintage Krylon & Rusto, Flo-Master Ink tins and other collectibles.

These are the real deal OG’s that will not last long, so get em while I got em. These are NOS/ deadstock that came in the original box from the manufacturer.
